Currently on Sabbatical Leave
The School of Divinity has granted me sabbatical leave, effective Jan. 2 to May 10, 2004. I am grateful for the opportunity and busily involved in two projects.
I have practically completed "Resourceful Bible Study," which is under review now by a publisher. The book should be about 150 pages. This is a revision and expansion of what I have used for about 12 years in teaching hundreds of students inductive Bible study.
Research and writing related to my "Unity of the Bible" course is also underway. I see how the key biblical themes of Covenant, Prophetic Hope, and the Kingdom of God provide biblical unity. It is amazing how much there is in Holy Scripture to assimilate and relate to our lives in the 21st century!
With my church, I lead Bible studies based on The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Calif. Quite a book--6 million copies sold in the last two years we are told.
