Recognized for 20 years of Service
Fall, 2002 was a highlight in my professional career. In a University faculty-staff
assembly I was presented an award for twenty years of "distinguished service"
at Regent University. I came to the School of Divinity at Regent University in
1982 (then called the School of Biblical Studies) at the very start of this School.
There were four of us on the faculty, including then Dean Dr. Jerry Horner. In
1987 I moved from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. Then in 1993 I was
made a full Professor.
It has been my great blessing and pleasure to have served, not only my School of Divinity, but the University as a whole, as I have interacted with other faculty, and on occasion shared with them from my expertise in the area of biblical studies. In 1997 I shared the distinction of being recognized as "faculty of the year" with another professor from the then College of Communication and the Arts.
At present I plan indefinitely to continue serving our Lord as a faculty member of Regent University. I only hope to devote more time to research and writing.
As a footnote, my wife Rose in June of 2003 received a special award from CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network), for completing 20 years of active service on the telephones for CBN. We both together thank God for the opportunity of serving Him at Regent University and CBN.
