STUDIES ON EPHESIANS
The below six expositional studies on Ephesians were prepared for the Berean Bible class at the First Baptist Church of Norfolk, which I lead and teach. The entire letter was covered, but my alternate teacher, Mr. Lyle Barstsow, handled other parts of the letter for us. The Ephesian study was from March 3 to May 26, 2002.
Our studies allowed for class participation by way of comments from those present. Thus, the discussion questions that you will find within these notes.
May the Lord who inspired the apostle Paul speak His truth to you , as you review the lessons.
- Praise God (1:1-23)

The wonder of God's initiative of our salvation is spelled out and becomes the basis for Paul's prayer for believers.
- Demonstrate Reconciliation (2:11-22)

Human differences between people groups are outstripped in the redemptive unity that exists among true believers in God's family, because of Christ.
- Declaring Redemption (3:1-13)

God's plan for the unique unity among believers has been made known through special revelation, setting forth the wonder of divine redemption.
- Being the Body of Christ (4:1-16)

Our responsibility is to live out the unity we have in Christ, as we as believers exercise our spiritual giftedness.
- Imitate God (5:1-21)

It is through the ongoing infilling of the Holy Spirit in believers that the marks of a truly Spirit-filled life will become evident.
- Build Strong Family and Work Relationships (6:1-9)

The submission of a truly Spirit-filled life is demonstrated in personal relationships in the nuclear family and in those of employment.
