Case Study
Recently we just completed an upgrade
which is illustrative of the type of integrations we do
with great regularity.
History:
The Dentist had an existing network
consisting of a peer to peer network server and one
desktop machine. A laptop was later added and had an on
again / off again relationship with the other machines.

Pre-Integration
Consultation An in-office discovery session
was scheduled where we ascertained not only the
hardware installed, but the goals of the doctor
and staff. |

Installation
A new server designed in-house and
recently certified by Microsoft was installed as
were five additional workstation computers. The
existing network hardware was upgraded and
high-speed internet access was provided. |
 |
Data
Migration All data was migrated to the new
server and a Backup and Disaster Recovery plan was
enacted. Data integrity was verified. |
 |
Post-Integration
Service and Support We worked with the
office staff to ensure that operational efficiency
was maintained, preferences and new features were
enabled. |
Final Result: Success
The office can now brag about extremely
fast data access, program launching has improved,
screens change faster. In terms of peace of mind, there
are now multiple layers of redundancy provided so that
if the server were to suffer a catastrophic failure,
data recovery is fast and efficient, and in a worst case
scenario, machines fail over to a "standby
server".
