1CubedUSA Looks to Skylar Design For Help With Their Growing Online Needs
Virginia Beach, VA, Nov. 22 - In the summer of 2005, 1CubedUSA contacted Skylar Design about helping them with their existing website. 1CubedUSA creates and produces their own distinct cable program which airs weekly on The Family Channel. Seeking out creative artists, mainstream and independent musicians, athletes, and individuals making a significant difference in their generation, 1CubedUSA has found a niche and only looking to the future with high optimism.
The first thing that impressed Skylar about 1CubedUSA was their desire for us to know and understand their passion for connecting with the current youth culture. Although their website was of great concern, it was clear they cared more about the needs and concerns of young people. And they wanted a web development firm who shared that same attitude as they took "ownership" with this particular project. Skylar was committed to the integrity of the project and assured them that it would be given the very best of care.
One of the main challenges facing 1CubedUSA was their inability to expand and grow their website as their viewership increased with their weekly cable program. As a result, existing content had to be removed to make room for newer content. Furthermore, the 1CubedUSA web team did not have the ability to archive past articles or features that were on previous shows.
Realizing their limitations, they contacted Skylar Design about redesigning major content areas off their homepage and other channel pages. As the creative comps were produced and posted for review, new ideas were birthed during the design process, which led to 1CubedUSA giving Skylar the green light to recreate all major section fronts to their website. Skylar created new navigational systems as well as easy to create and update archiving platforms. From colors, shapes, imagery - including the placement of each element - every detail was carefully examined to ensure that the integrity of the project was consistent from start to end.
As a result of Skylar's work, not only can 1CubedUSA develop and manage their website efficiently, but their site visitors can now view past and present content that wasn't previously accessible. In addition, users can now find other wonderful resources such as music videos, current news, the ability to search for a particular person or group, and other great add-ons. There are other things in the works for 1CubedUSA, but for now, we realize a strong foundation has been set for their future. Thank you 1CubedUSA for allowing us to work with you on this project.
