NY Flooring Company Gets a Refurbishing Of Their Own Website
Smithtown, NY, MAR. 16 - With more than 83 years of service, G.H. Färdig & Son, Ltd., is well-recognized within the flooring industry. A family operated business, CEO Carl Färdig, son of founder Gustave H. Färdig, leads his team of professionals, providing services such as floor installations, floor re-sanding and finishing, and carpet sales and installations. Many well-known celebrities and dignitaries have and continue to use their professional services. As a result, their work is in constant demand.
In the summer of '05, G.H. Färdig Ltd., began initial discussions with Skylar Design about their existing website. Even though their site was up and running, there was just one small problem: the project was still in development and, therefore, never finished. After several discussions, the company concluded that 1) they needed to start over and 2) time to rethink the entire project.
Early this year (2006), G.H. Färdig Ltd. decided it was time to commence work with their new website. This time, however, it was agreed that the project would be developed in stages. In other words, each phase had to be completed before embarking on the next section. With regards to their desired look, G.H. Färdig Ltd. wanted to reflect their long history, plus a design that was clean and elegant. With that in mind, we redesigned their logo, implementing a somewhat Old Victorian appeal, and with the layout, we had one word guiding our design, "simplicity." We feel the new design meets both of those goals.
