Home Theatre/Security Services
Problems Solved:
Home Tech Consultants (HTC) decided that they needed to invest the time and money to create a specialized website that focused on their work and specialized clientele. Skylar designed a website that targets those seeking home theatre/media/security services in the Long Island region. To highlight HTC's work, a project gallery was created whereby users could see a sampling of their work. In addition, a form was created so potential clients could request a free estimate from HTC. This streamlines the process of getting to meeting new clients since HTC can gather key data and return, in a short amount of time, a fairly accurate quote.

Technology/Social Networking/Web 2.0
Problems Solved:
Bang Ventures Inc. hired Skylar Design to exclusively redesign the entire "You Be the VC" website. The scope of the redesign included not only the public side of the site but also the private areas (members only sections). Since the project involved an online competition and targeted a very tech savvy audience, the homepage had to communicate within a few seconds what this competition/website was all about. Thus, Skylar created a three-part equation which sums up the entire project.

Political
Problems Solved:
Needing to increase the public's awareness of his running for office, Mr. Harold Dyche wanted a website that could fully communicate what he stood for, the issues that most concerned him, and how he was the best candidate for District Judge. Skylar was personally asked by Mr. Dyche to develop his official website. Staying away from traditional political looking websites (e.g., stars and stripes, use of red, white,& blue colors), Skylar decided to design something far different yet stick with a conservative tone. Using a specific set of typefaces and limited use of colors, Skylar created a very elegant, yet professional looking campaign website. In addition, besides communicating his political aspirations, the site also communicates how others can get involved with his campaign.
